Secure Base Philosophy

Doug Osborne and Tony Evans set up Secure Base to deliver Emotional Self-Regulation training to the Fire and Rescue Service who work with adults and young people who set fires.

Emotional Self- Regulation (ESR) means being properly able to regulate ones’ emotions – turn them up or down and express them in a socially appropriate way

  • Our team have been running bespoke Fire Setter Advisor Training to County services for almost ten years – we have trained almost 800 advisors to work with both adults and children
  • All of our trainers are psychological professionals, fully trained and registered with professional bodies

  • All of our trainers routinely work with behavioural difficulties e.g.: ADHD, Impulse Control and Asperger’s
